Slackware Blog

About

This site is not run by Patrick Volkerding or anyone else in any way associated with the Slackware Linux Project.Slackware, I believe, is the most stable and robust Linux distribution out there. I have been using it for more than 5 years. This is not an official Slackware blog. It’s run by Tyler Longren, James Bowling, and Lehman Black, none of whom have any connection what so ever with the Slackware Linux project.

I am trying to port a Win2k web server to linux. Currently I am working with Slack 12.1 and getting back in the boat with command line computing. In any case, my problem is that I have tried the easy way by simply resorting to the Ubuntu server distribution, but I am not learning as I was with slackware. Should I persevere, or should I go with the easy server route promised by the S. Africans?

    thanks

It would be condemnable on consequentialist grounds, if there are feasible alternative arrangements that would bring about more mixing of people, a better fit of complementary types in productive schemes of cooperation, and better outcomes for people according to the right standard for assessing outcomes. ,

Getting basics like fulltext search, search for tags and comments working reliably would be a huge step forward already. ,
